Welcome to Scar Lodge
Scar Lodge is situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Grassington which nestles in the beautiful landscape of the Yorkshire Dales. Originally built in the 17th century the house has its own peaceful setting with a large and lovely garden, though it is only one minutes walk away from all the amenities of the village - cafe's, shop's, pub's, restaurants and a gallery. The house was originally used as a malt house for the monks. It may have been part of the adjoining house "The Grange" which dates back to when the monks of Fountains Abbey grazed and drove their animals through. The building has been modernised at different times over the years, most recently in 1993 when modern amenities were created whilst still retaining it's Victorian facade.

This is the home and studio of local artist Val Emmerson.
Scar Lodge offers two very comfortable double bedrooms, both attractively furnished with views over the hills and the garden. One has en-suite facilities. The other has the sole use of a private bathroom. On the first floor there is a quiet 'comfy' sitting/reading area with a hospitality tray. A TV lounge is on the ground floor.
A full English breakfast using local fare/ produce is served in the dining room overlooking the garden. Vegetarian option (by request). TariffPrices from £32.50 based on a two night stay. |
